Tiger

Tigers are one of the only cats that are strong swimmers and enjoy lounging in shaded waters to deal with high temperatures.

Among the big cats, only the tiger and jaguar are strong swimmers.

Tigers are often found bathing in ponds, lakes, and rivers. Tigers in northern latitudes are larger cats and often deal with seasonally high temperatures by spending most of the day-time hours lounging half-submerged in shaded pools or streams.

Powerful swimmers, tigers are known to kill prey while swimming. Some tigers have even ambushed boats for the fishermen on board or their catch of fish.
