The Javan rhinoceros’ single horn is the smallest of all rhinos, growing to a length of 25cm (10in).
The Javan rhinoceros possesses a single horn on the top of its nose at the end of its snout, the smallest horn of all five extant rhinoceros species.
Like human fingernails, the horn is made up of keratin.
The horns of male Javan rhinos can grow to a length of 25 centimeters (10 inches), but females have smaller, less prominent horns or no horn at all.
