Southern grasshopper mice are capable of breeding year-round, but most reproductive activity occurs during the late spring and the summer.

Southern grasshopper mice are capable of breeding year-round, but peak reproductive activity occurs during the late spring and summer from May to July.

Breeding may start in January under ideal conditions.
