As hatchlings, green turtles have an average weight of 25-26 grams and are 5 centimeters long. Juveniles measure to about 40 centimeters in carapace length and subadults will measure between 70 to 100 centimeters. Adult green turtles, male or female, tend to be about 100 to 120 centimeters long in carapace length and weigh around 150 to 200 kilograms when reaching adulthood.
