Slender-snouted crocodiles have a carnivorous, predatory diet which, when young, consists mainly of aquatic species, particularly fish and small crustaceans.
At larger sizes they feed on terrestrial mammals that drink from the rivers and lakes where the crocodiles live, such as water chevrotains (Hyemoschus aquaticus).
