Slender-Snouted Crocodile

If a hatchling shows no sign of emerging, the mother slender-snouted crocodiles will carefully place the egg in her mouth and crack it.

Soon after the slender-snouted crocodile offspring hatch, they begin to make squeaking noises, triggering the female to uncover the nest. If some of the hatchlings show no sign of emerging, the mothers will carefully place these eggs in their mouths and crack them.
