Calypso the Hawksbill sea turtle.
This watercolor is painted mainly with the Primatek gemstone mineral paints from Daniel Smith allowing for granulation and texture to develop on the paper with heavy sedimentary pigment.
Calypso is named after the Greek sea nymph that lured Odysseus with her song.
