Ocellated Turkey

Ocellated turkeys can be found in arid brush lands, savanna, marshland, forests, mature rain forests, and abandoned farmland.

The range of the ocellated turkey is comprised of many diverse habitat types; from arid brush lands and shrublands, savanna, marshland, grassland, and second growth forest interspersed abandoned farmland called milpas and old growth mature rain forests.

The turkey occupies non-flooded mature forest, but associates with seasonally flooded habitat and open areas when breeding.
