This year, you saw the most devastating bushfires in Australian history. Over 3 billion animals were affected, with 1.28 billion killed. Among them were over 6,000 koalas. Some of the last remaining koala populations are now gone, forever. Before the fires, koalas were already clinging to survival. Now, koalas are facing a full-blown extinction crisis. But extinction is not an option. Not today, not ever. We need your help to double koala populations in Australia, before it’s too late.
Throughout the month of December, FaunaFocus will be collaborating with the World Wildlife Fund (WWF) and hosting another 24-hour charity host train in order to keep koalas climbing!
WWF Keep Koalas Climbing
FaunaFocus will be participating in the WWF Keep Koalas Climbing campaign from December 1st to December 20th, 2020. Donations can be made on the FaunaFocus Tiltify page and all proceeds will benefit the World Wildlife Foundation’s koala-saving endeavors.
To join the campaign yourself, visit the WWF’s website. You can also participate by contributing your artwork to WWF.
FaunaFocus 24-Hour Koala Host Train
To coincide with the campaign, FaunaFocus will be hosting a 24-Hour Koala Host Train on Twitch. Viewers will be able to watch an entire day’s worth of koala-themed creative livestreaming content. Throughout the day, various artists will be featured, each one hosting the next in a host-train fashion.
We are in the process of building the host train schedule. If you are interested in broadcasting creative content inspired by the koala on Twitch on Tuesday, December 15th or Wednesday, December 16th, please submit the following form by Sunday, December 6th. Also, make sure to join the FaunaFocus Discord Server to stay updated.
