FaunaFocus had another successful stream event on Twitch in support of the World Wildlife Foundation (WWF) Wild-Livestream 2018 campaign!
On October 19th, 2018, FaunaFocus hosted a CreateAlong featuring the hawsbill turtle. Using ballpoint pen and dried watercolor cakes, Noelle M. Brooks gave viewers a step-by-step view into how she creates realistic illustrations in ink and watercolor. Starting with a ballpoint sketch, she walked participants through using light, gentle strokes to create construction lines and basic shapes, then building upon those assets to create a fully-detailed and colored composition. Finishing the piece with watercolor, the achromatic pen was melded with the chromatic, pale tones of the paint.
Donations towards WWF and the endangered sea turtles were made on the FaunaFocus Tiltify page where all proceeds will benefit the World Wildlife Foundation’s sea turtle saving endeavors.
